Anton Kandinsky was born into a family of artists. He studied at the Children’s Art School as a child, and at the Crimean Specialized Art School in Simferopol between 1971 and 1975. Between 1975 and 1979 he attended the Simferopol Samokisha Art College. He continued his studies as a private student of Yevsey Yevseyevich Moiseyenko in St. Petersburg, later enrolling into the Ukrainian Art Academy, Kyiv State Art Institute, where he studied in the monumental department, studio of V. Chekaniuk and M. Storozhenko. Kandinsky graduated from the Academy with a Masters of Fine Arts degree in 1986.
In 1998, Kandinsky immigrated to the United States. He has exhibited extensively and especially in New York City in venues such as the Jewish Enrichment Center, Art Next Gallery and Chair and the Maiden Gallery.
Kandinsky lives and works in New York City.
