Peter Kolisnyk is an artist of Ukrainian descent. He was a member of the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour, The Royal Canadian Academy of Arts, and Canadian Representation. Kolisnyk was also the director of the Line and Form program at the Glendon College, York University.
In 1962, Kolisnyk began working in Toronto and throughout the Ontario area as a freelance instructor in galleries, schools and community workshops. He exhibited extensively throughout Canada and the United States in both solo and group exhibitions. His work is in several public collections, including the Winnipeg Art Gallery, Canada Council Art Bank, Centennial Collections, Ontario Arts Council, Robert McLaughlin Gallery, the Queen’s Silver Jubilee Art Collections and the Art Gallery of Northumberland.
