Alexandra Kowerko, born in Salzburg, Austria, received her Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Fine Arts at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She is the recipient of an Illinois Arts Council Fellowship, Illinois Arts Council Permanent Purchase Grants and other Arts Council grants.
She has exhibited recently at the Ukrainian Institute of Modern Art with Wasyl Kacurovsky. Other recent group exhibits were The Exquisite Snake, Printworks Gallery at Jean Albano Gallery, Chicago and the Mary & Leigh Block Museum, Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois, Watercolor Interpretations, Old Town Triangle Gallery, Unique Impressions, Anchor Graphics, Chicago, Just Good Art, Hyde Park Art Center, Chicago. Public collections include the Mary & Leigh Block Museum, Northwestern University, Evanston, IL and UIMA.
