Making postcards with Cyanotypes & Ink: Sunprints with Nature, with Tulika Ladsariya. Saturday, August 22, 3-4 pm. Explore the art of cyanotype, an early photographic process that uses sunlight to create luminous blue-and-white images.
Participants will make postcards, working with leaves, flowers, and other natural materials to create cyanotype prints, experimenting with composition, layering, and the transformation of natural forms through light. Participants will also use inks to draw, layer, and respond to their cyanotype prints, creating images that combine the structure of plants with their own marks and ideas.
No prior art experience is needed. All materials will be provided. Tulika Ladsariya is currently featured in the Home Grown exhibition at UIMA.
