Janice Elkins

Janice Elkins, abstract expressionist painter and teacher, has been exploring the city,  nature and the human form through her craft for over 35 years. Her media includes  acrylics, oils, encaustic, collage as well as drawings and prints.  

Elkins owns Gallery PINK, an independent gallery in Oak Park, IL, where her studio is  also located. Janice was instrumental in developing the area into an art colony which  has finally come to fruition. During the last 22 years she has exhibited many notable  artists in her gallery (Susan Sensemann, Olivia Petrides, Susan Frankel, 3-D 12  Chicago Sculptors, to name a few). 

Elkins’ paintings have been exhibited and earned awards throughout the US, at institutions that include University of Illinois at Chicago, Fort Wayne Art Museum, Koehnline Museum of Art, University of Wisconsin, and Rockford Museum.
