Solomiya Ivakhiv, Alexa Muhly, Mio Isoda-Hagle

On Sunday, February 16, 2014, The Ukrainian Institute of Modern Art presented the first musical performance of 2014. The noted Ukrainian-American violinist Solomiya Ivakhiv was accompanied by Alexa Muhly on cello and Mio Isoda-Hagle on piano in performance of Classical compositions of L. Beethoven, M. Skoryk, Z. Kodaly, and R. Schumann. The last piece performed was contemporary music of the famous Argentine tango composer A. Piazzolla much to the pleasure of the admiring audience. This performance of music was part of the overall scheduled performances at the Institute this year.
