ANTON SKORUBSKY KANDINSKY

With great sadness we inform you that Anton Skorubsky Kandinsky passed away in his studio in Manhattan on January 10, 2014. He was 53 years old. Cause of death was heart failure. We all knew him as a joyful, full of energy and loving person. He always cared about his wife, Natasha Perova and his children Daria and Pavel Skorubsky. Anton had an extraordinary imagination. He was able to see things in a different way. He had a vision of a great artist. Everything he touched turned into art.

Anton conceived and founded the art movement GEMISM in New York in 2003. He was best known for his grenade paintings and dualistic portraits. Anton had a solo exhibition at UIMA in 2008. Our thoughts are with him and we will always miss him.
